Klaus Schöffel holds a Dr. degree in physical chemistry from the Freie University Berlin. He has over 15 years experience i industrial R&D wihin catalysis and new energy technologies from the Norwegian O&G company StatoilHydro as chief-scientist and research director. Since 2007 he is employed as Vice President Corporate Energy in Norske Skog and since April 2008 as managing director of Norske Skogs biofuel subsidiary Xynergo AS.
